Without question, carl's list is the place to advertise and find what you're looking for in the Hudson Valley. I posted an ad looking for an illustrator, and within the next 3 days had received about a dozen emails from interested illustrators. I don't think there's anywhere else I could have put the word out for this, and gotten such an impressive response. (Calla Jones)

I was very pleased with the response to my ad for grape vines. There were a good number of inquiries, and several people came by and dug some up to move to their own gardens.One person brought donuts, and another even cut down a little tree and took some fencing apart for me while he was here! Hi Carl: Wanted to tell you that Bob and I recently obtained a lawn mower that was a "Free Stuff" item on carl's list. The donor told us that it wasn't quite working, but with a little tuning up it should be working just fine. Sure enough, a little oil and an inexpensive mower tune-up kit did the job! We've got a great lawn mower and are very grateful (once again) to carl's list (and to Harriet, the donor!). My dogs also love the great wood dog house (it's nicer than my house!) that was another giveaway via the list. Keep up the great work and thanks for all you contribute to the community!
